now that the hot, awful, wretched, horrible summer has really begun, i'm toning it down pretty well and keeping the affectations to some cuffed slacks and needlepoint belts (this one has largemouth bass on it)
as always, based on my actual attire :3

Ah, the moist, hot summer. It's so lovely to lay awake in bed during those hot summer nights, sweating and unable to sleep. Everything you touch feels sticky and making dinner makes everything taste salt because of the sweat pouring down the face. I'm already looking forward to the autumn.
One of the more positive things about summer is lightly dressed roos. Gotta catch'em all.

Bleh, it's so hot and humid here I'm just wearing shorts and t-shirts. I need to find less baggy shorts. And smaller shirts. Everywhere I go all I see are shirts with polo collars, shirts that are twice as long as they need to be and/or cling way too much in the upper torso, so they cinch right at mah man boobs and show everyone my nipples. So now I have all these elongated graphic tees because they're the only things that fit me, even though I've wanted to get away from graphic tees for a while now. WTF design industry!!!
Yeah, it'd be nice if we had better clothing stores around here. We have a lot, but they tend to all carry the same stuff, it'd be nice to have a place where you could find some really unique finds without paying a lot. We do have a salvation army, I guess I could try there, even though it all smells like old people D:.
yeah, like, there's this general 'rule' that menswear should almost always have a purpose behind it, even if it is sort of vague and dated (ties)
the idea is that canvas shoes/no socks/cuffed slacks keeps you cool (it totally does) and wearing socks is counter to that idea
it's an east coast and italy thing right now i think, very preppy and 80's!! not terribly popular because it's a bit feminine, but all over magazines/blogs, and it's a bit common here just because i live near a river and people often cuff up to wade in and cool off, heh!

The weird thing is that it's my straight homeboy Connor who dresses pretty much exactly like this --^
The cuffed skinny pants, the sockless boat shoes, the checked tweed shirts. Maybe a billowy light sweater because SF summers are cold.
I won't say that I don't dress like a big fat gay, but it's a slightly different flavor <3
