After having more honey for dinner Rose built up the courage to ask if Mothim wanted to watch a movie which he gladly accepts. He’s so big that he takes up nearly the entire couch. Rose barely has any room to squeeze next to him, not like that’s a bad to thing to her.

I decided I wanted to have a go at trying some shading. So I decided a dark room with a bright light source was a good place to start and this came to mind. I really like how it turned out, and will definitely practice more with shading, though I’m not sure if I’ll do it for every future drawing. Surprisingly the most annoying part was making Mothim’s face not look sinister, like he’s plotting something evilI don’t know why drawing but the way I draw him facing forward makes him look like that sometimes. That’s why I originally gave him eyebrows in the first image but I managed to work it out and I think he looks better without them.
