Had to wolf him up because why not? Doesn't help that criminals in le miserables are referred to as "wolves".
His character was played by Hugh Jackman who also played a werewolf, wolverine and usually plays a "dad" like character, so yeah, this needed to happen. Plus, full moon. So, yeah, ABSOLUTELY needed to woof him out.
