Poem: The Ballad of the Gilded Wolf
In forests deep where moonlight weaves its glow,
A wolf does tread with fur as dark as night,
His markings shine, a metallic gold show,
A creature born of fantasy and light.
Each step he takes, the leaves do whisper tales,
Of a beast both fierce and wonderous to behold,
His eyes, like stars, in darkness never fail,
A tale of wild nobility, retold.
The wind itself does pause to stroke his mane,
His howl, a symphony, the night does fill,
In every stride, he wears his golden chain,
A wolf, not just in form, but in his will.
So here's to thee, oh wolf of shadow and gold,
In sonnets and in legends, your tale's told.
