Representative self-portrait for my Painting Class - this is to be paired with the non-representative painting 'Sailing with the Schematics'.

I did use a projector to draw the image on to the canvas, but this was for time-saving measures - I would have likely been drawing and re-drawing for over 6 hours or more if I hadn't. In any case, there are obvious flaws, but I still enjoy the image; it certainly shows the side of me that I think of first when considering my personality (well, when thinking about how others see me in pose, which is usually non-addressing and focused on something else, haha).

The landscape is more personal, of course, though others could journey to it in a way - the rocky coast of Maine is where I grew up and where my heart will stay, or at least anchor itself. I love that sort of environment in any case.

A treat for those who look closely at what I'm drawing in the painting. ; )
