I like to think Kai is very annoying and touchy. According to Tlactl, they are from Earth, like Chris, and out in space on space freighters and alien worlds having a common background does mean something: that Chris is more tolerant to Kai's antics than he would otherwise. Really though, they like to hang out together on the beach with the stupid little beach margarita stand (even though my characters tend to be straight edge).
