Solomon's used to fighting in his street clothes, and rarely even so much as needs to take off his hoodie because few opponents can make him break a sweat. In a display of their appreciation and loyalty, though, some of his men pooled together to have some high-quality kickboxing gear tailor-made for him.
He does appreciate the gesture, and that appreciation shows every time he wears his gear to a fight. Which isn't a lot of the time, but it's not never, either.
