Little-known fact, but whereas most anthro species in my setting exhibit some physiological traits that help give them an edge one way or another, eastern dragons are among the few with access to supernatural elemental powers, depending on what element they have an affinity with.
In Toshu's case, it's shadows, as is befitting of a ninja. Sure, he can easily hide in plain sight, but when he wants to hide in the shadows instead, he's perfectly capable of making do when there aren't any to be had otherwise. And it's not all he can do, either...
