On a youth retreat weekend we led the kids from a nearby town on a hike up into the mountains. It was snowing like crazy and there was a thick curtain of snow. Couldn't see much further then the mountain's edge. For some reason, we felt much more inclined to look over the edge than when there wasn't snow.
