A rare male and SFW piece for Definitelyfloof. It was an interesting challenge to try and give him this wiry look. The feet were especially problematic if you could believe it. There's a lot of digitigrade feet out there to look at that are soft, friendly, and bubbly. And there are some that are imposing and blocky. But getting them to work with this guy's vibe meant shopping around for a while to see how others did it. I think I did the best work on his arms though.

In september, right after I started the Kuri pictures, I got hit by a hurricane. Went right over ft myers where I was staying. That was a scary week. But I was settled in with family pretty quickly after and mercifully, it was not my responsibility to deal with the aftermath of the hurricane. That scare was important though. It shook me out of a bad funk and left me more open and less caught up about making decisions with art. Although I've still got a long ways to go, I becaem more disciplined over the following year and my output exploded. This piece is sort of a keystone there. There's no special lesson I took from it. But it was the first one I'd both started and finished once back in Texas.
