After what seemed like an eternity trying to subdue Rarity, our pony heroines had managed to remove the artifact from her, causing her to resort to normal.

Sadly, it had taken so long they had to postpone their trip to Zecora's until the following day. The following day the ponies once again met up near the edge of Ponyville and finally set off on their journey to Everfree Forest to see Zecora. Surprisingly, even Pinkie Pie was there, and since the events of the previous night was in part her fault, she agreed it was finally time to get rid of the mask.

Their journey had been going surprisingly smooth, until they had made it about half way to Zecora's house, where something totally unexpected happened: A hooded figure appeared from out of nowhere and stole the mask! A heated chase ensued, until the figure's robe had been ripped off by a charging Rainbow Dash to reveal none other than TRIXIE!

Knowing first hand what this mask was capable of (due to being the main focus of Twilight's mischief during her session with the mask) she knew this was her perfect chance for revenge for suffering defeat and humiliation at the hands, er, hooves, of Twilight Sparkle TWICE. The first time from her "showing off," subduing the Ursa-Minor (during her first visit), and the second from Masked Twilight INTENTIONALLY sicking the Ursa-MAJOR on her! (based on a comment I wrote in Masked Twilight in my deviantART account)

But rather than simply flee again, she chose to wait for her time to strike. Lure all 6 ponies together and then CRUSH them all at once!

Using her magic to create a wall lasting just long enough to prevent them from getting to her, Trixie then brought the mask to her face, and the transformation ensued.
