After my week of extreme fits of rage and stress, I woke up September 1st with the right side of my face feeling "weak" and I couldn't flex my face muscles. The next day, I went to work, hoping my face would heal, but it didn't. Not taking any chances, I went to the hospital!
First, I drove to the local urgent care center, and the doctors there saw how half my face was paralyzed, so they took me in immediately. After running a few tests, they asked me if I wanted to go to the ER, and I said yes. They called an ambulance that took me to a hospital (the SAME hospital I was actually BORN in) to run some more tests. They stuck an IV in my left arm (which HURT like hell!) and sent me to a hospital room. I spent all day texting my family, letting them know what's going on.
The hospital ran a few tests on me, such as physical strength, EKG, had blood drawn, and a CAT scan. Everyone's biggest worry was that I had a stroke!
However, after all my tests, they found nothing wrong. In fact, I was healthy as a horse! The CAT scan revealed NO bleeding or blood clots in my brain!
Turns out... I have Bell's Palsy. After being prescribed some meds, I was released from the hospital that day, used a sick-day, and carried on living. It sucks having half my face paralyzed... hopefully, not forever.
UPDATE: As of the first week of October, my Bell's Palsy has GONE AWAY! I have REGAINED full control of my face! The doctors said it would have taken three to six months to fully recover, but I was fully recovered in less than four weeks! Thank you all for your support and prayers.

I actually heard about what happened with you through
Two-Tone Dalmatian's FA journal seen here and contacted him more so about you and your condition over on IB through PMs there. I'm just glad you're doing okay, Ryan. Plus, Bell's Palsy shouldn't last forever. According to what I researched on it, you should be able to recover from it between a few weeks and about six months.
Get well soon, Ryan.
