Great Lakes Central GP35 #392, a former Ann Arbor Railroad locomotive, is seen through the hole in a manually-operated switch stand in the yard at Owosso, Michigan. The unit rides on trucks from an old GE U-type diesel.

Not to pick nits, but the trucks were originally under Alco FAs that the Ann Arbor traded in to EMD for these GP35s. Very cool to think of where they came from.

O_O They are? Damn, that's neat. Makes sense- I should've given it more thought, cuz I am aware of the AA's FA fleet. Thanks for the info.

Both models used the same truck design, the AAR Type B, so the mistake is understandable. I need to put up my pictures from the last time I was at Owosso.
