To steal or not to steal. That seems to pretty obviously be the question for this passerby.

I have a problem with people NOT driving these cars, they need to be out on the road spreading their wings. They aren't meant to be cooped up in a garage for the rest of their lives. That is why when I get pics of the classics, I try to get them with the car in it's natural environment, not on display.
Yup! Agreed. Notice that I said "I don't see them driven" not "I don't think they should be driven!" :)
I had a coworker at a company i worked at. He was there a year before and had gone through a 2:1 stock split. He was worth many millions. One day, he shows up with a brand new ferrari modena 360. BEAUTIFUL car. Jumped the line to get it. a 110k retail price care he paid $250k just so that he didn't have to 'wait'. He drove it a time or two then one day, I asked "Why don't you ever drive your ferarri?" and he stared at me in horror and asked "WHAT?! And reduce it's value?" and I just shook my head and told him that I didn't see the point of owning a car like that if you didn't intend to drive it. Me? I'd have drove the PISS out of that car. I'd have had at least 150k miles on it by now. 150k GLEEFUL hard driving miles. Same with one of them cobras. If I could actually afford one, I sure as hell would drive it. If I had it "just for the value of it" then , frankly, I would be owning something I could not afford. So yeah, right there with you.
ON THE OTHER HAND. It would be a shame to see one of those exceedingly rare cars, of which there are only a few left, get driven and 'ruined'. So , in a way, perhaps it depends on the rarity of the vehicle. But a ferrari modena 360? Fuggit. Drive it till the rims fall off!

I understand the rare cars that can and are driven are worth far more than those that aren't. When I am out and about, this is what I look for in the elder machines: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/4119387/
sweet! What's he doing with it? There's this one gastation in seymour missouri that I stop at every friday and every sunday. I see more cool cars there, than ANY other random place on the road, EVER. One day some old farts pull in with a trailer and this rusted out hulk that they are goign to restor. it had wooden wheels. it was something like.. a 1904 "Dodge brothers" car. Was from the Dodge motor company before Dodge became dodge when they were named the "Dodge Brothers" company. I have some snaps of it I took with my cell phone. I should upload them. Killed me though, wooden wheels. :)
