EF28 Artshow - The Kelpie
The species selection thingie needs a kelpie entry ;)
An artshow piece I'm very proud of :) I'd wanted to try my hand at painting a kelpie, and really put my watercolours to good use to create the illusion of water. It was very interesting to depict its manes and tail as being wet, and I think I succeeded? I'll definitely have to do more studies on the subject.
Even if there are things I would do differently now, I'm still so pleased with this piece, and it's taught me a lot <3 I really hope it'll go to a loving home ; v;
This piece was created with Winsor & Newton and Van Gogh watercolours and white gouache, on Canson Textured Multimedia Paper. Really starting to absolutely love textured paper.
This piece will be available during the EF28 artshow this year, as well as in the form of prints at my dealer's den table :) See you there!
