As a goddess, it’s natural for Wadjet to be worshipped. Because of this, many temples were built around her city, each regularly visited by numerous civilians. The largest and most prominent of these was one connected to her palace, and she often visited it herself when she had time. Unfortunately, her temples were one of the main targets when the city was attacked while she slumbered. Since her return, Wadjet has been trying to rebuild with the help of the Watchers that have returned, starting with the area around her palace. Of course, this included the temple connected to it. Just getting to it was hard, as all the entrances to it were collapsed in, rendering it inaccessible until they were able to clear the way. However, when they finally managed to get inside, they were surprised to find the interior to have been well maintained over the years, practically spotless despite years of abandonment. But they would soon find it wasn’t as abandoned as they thought, as they soon met the temple’s only resident: Samara, a fellow Watcher. Centuries ago, she was just a normal resident living in the city, until she went through a major rough patch, her life practically falling apart at the seams. That was, until she personally met Wadjet, who had given her a place to stay at her temple until she recovered. It was a fairly common occurrence for someone to find refuge in one of the temples, but for Samara, it meant something that it was Wadjet herself who led her there. Wanting to return the kindness, she devoted herself to working at the temple, eventually reaching the rank of high priestess after many years. Upon ascending to this position, she properly met Wadjet once more, who recognized her as the woman she helped back them. They got to talking, with Samara revealing how that meeting had changed her, which inspired even the goddess. Wadjet wanted to use the story as a way to show others that things will get better regardless of how hopeless it may seem at the time. Of course, the story would mean more (and seem less narcissistic) coming from Samara herself rather than Wadjet, so the goddess offered her a permanent position as one of the Watchers. Being able to serve Wadjet forever was practically her dream, so she accepted instantly. From then, she spent her time living in the temple, doing what she could to help those who suffered like she did, until the day the city was overrun. Most others fled, but she remained at her temple, fending off the invaders from desecrating the temple she loved so much. She was enhanced by the blessing, but she could only do so much, and was unable to stop the attackers from collapsing the entrances to the temple, trapping her inside. Unable to move the large amounts of debris herself, she was stuck there for years, but her devotion never wavered, believing Wadjet would return one day, so she kept the inside of the temple in pristine condition until that day. And of course, it payed off, and she once again devoted her life, happy to see everyone she cared about again after so long
Height: 6’8”
Personality: Very caring to everyone she meets, doing whatever she can to help them, especially if they had similar experiences to her past. However, she does have a small rivalry going with Anput over who’s closer to the goddess
