The sound of your beating heart is the only sound you hear as you run through the forest. The moon hidden behind the clouds stretched out across the night sky. The lantern was your only source of light. Before you stop in fear, your blood turns to ice. Out of the shadows, they emerged. As you turn to run, you stop. More had emerged from behind you. They had you trapped.
Before fear and terror stabs you heart like a knife as the lantern begins to flicker out. Before it goes out. Leaving you in total darkness, the sound of shambling footsteps draws every closer and closer.
