Since I missed out on making fanart for The Super Mario Bros. Super Show's 35th Anniversary yesterday, and Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog is also having it's 31st anniversary tomorrow, I figured it would make sense to do a crossover with Mario and Sonic using their cartoon designs and stock poses. Some things may be off, such as Sonic's pupils and especially how off Mario sort of looks, but eh, I tried my best on Mario since I sometimes find him difficult to draw, especially the way his hat is drawn. As for Sonic, I referenced his design from SlySonic's art of AOSTH Sonic which was a redraw of the Cartoon Sonic stock pose, but now redrawn again in my style. Also despite the background being the usual beach background, I did use a background from Super Show for reference in terms of the gradient sky and clouds. Anyways, Happy Belated 35th Anniversary to The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! And Happy Early 31st Anniversary to Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog!
