A very rough sketch of hellboy I did shortly after seeing the movie (which totally rocked.)
I don't have much to say about this picture, other then shading was a complete nightmare in hell (which is why I normaly don't do comic shading, I SUCK at it), drawing the gun was a pain in the ass, and after a good three hours spent on it I still didn't like how it turned out. Bah...I'll try again eventually.

Wow! How in the hell (no pun intended) did I manage to miss this one!?
Honest to goodness, I consider this four-year-old B&W sketch to be one of your best works ever. I was perusing the older works in your gallery and this just popped right out at me -- at first I thought you'd posted a piece of official Hellboy concept art that you'd found online or something...and then I was like, "Holy crap, he drew this!"
Now, I absolutely don't mean that as a backhanded compliment or anything; you've always been a skilled artist, and I love all your work...but I have to say, you really managed to capture some magic here.
Well done!
