This guy was a challenge. There was a very loud BANG like a gunshot after I welded the first pieces onto the brake rotor. It turns out the way that particular steel expands wasn't agreeing with how the other steel was expanding, and so the welds were under enormous stress and cracked as they cooled. It took me a while to figure out how to mitigate that and ease the stress.
