The plains are aliiive... with the sound of peeping
One place I walk by has a number of gophers living there (technically Richardson's Ground Squirrels or "Spermophilus richardsonii"). Around this time of year the babies are starting to come out. What's nice is they're a little easier to get close to. While its hard to see in this pic, they're only about 3-4 inches long and very very cute.
