No way. Swamp people sounds uncanny and degrading. That along with Squatters, Bushwhackers, and Backwooders. Why give a fellow human being such disgraceful labels?
In fact, the term "redneck" has gotten quite a... subjective regard, especially when compared to a hillbilly.

No no no, Swamp People is a show, about people in Louisiana and certain parts of Florida that hunt gators for food and profit, those are some pretty redneck folk that live off the land like hillbillies and have good paying jobs. Good show too, those are some hard working people right there.
