Well, there's some anatomical errors between the images with the Arcticka's head getting smaller as the image goes on and the blue dragon's left arm shortening at the second image. You could sketch your characters doing dynamic things to help with that, I think.
Also, this is just a personal thing, but I think it'd look better if the limbs and head fattened up more closely to the belly. Hell yea, soff belly, but I also like myself soft arms, pillowy thighs, and pinchable cheeks. You don't necessarily have to do this, but I think it'll make your fatties look better.
