Those times when you really need to go but have no where to go sucks, for real the pain of pulling into a gas station on a roadtrip or long drive and seeing that darn 'Out of order' sign on the bathroom is punch in the gut, and bladder XD

But where's the harm it in? Is the real offense here peeing at a tree, or trespassing of property? Personally I'd just ignore it if I saw someone doing this in a place that isn't fenced off from access or anything. People should be more relaxed. They get upset about the smallest of things at times. ^_^
There is no harm done, some people are just plain jerks or relish in the opportunity to assert themselves by putting others down. A simple ''Excuse me , sir, this is private property'' would have sufficed but some people just like to jump right into offense mode [but I'm sure you've seen this behavior plenty of times on the social media].
