Meira has a troubled youth. After moving away from her old hometown Posbank, her family ended up in a town populated exclusively by humans. Even though as a hybrid she has a human face instead of the typical centaur snout, people in town still gave her strange looks whenever they pass her by, and the school she attends to seems to be totally unfit for centaurs like her. Even though her mentor tries to help her out the best he can, school for her wasn't very pleasant with constant reminders that she was different, even getting excluded from PE class because she was unable to do the exercises that required climbing. And on top of all then, she was bullied by a group of girls from her class making her life miserable. She tried to tell her parents, but they think she was exaggerating. She was blaming it all on her centaur heritage and wished she were human instead.

It was all getting too much for her, that one day she lies to her parents that she's going to school and instead, she's running away, far away from the place that made her miserable. But she hadn't planned ahead, and has no idea what to do after that. And as the evening falls, she finds herself in a forest, without any clue where she is. Desperately she tries to find her way back, but with ripped clothes, she's giving up after a while, accepting she got lost. How is she getting herself out of this mess?

Fortunately, she was later found by someone passing by, who got in touch with her parents to pick her up. But this whole stunt left her shaken for a long time to come...
