Honestly, I thought we were going to be way more involved with all of them. Like, Sue would actually be hostage-traded for Toroko, but then Toroko would reveal to King that Sue is actually really important to the bad guys' plans and would actually help get the Mimiga on board with helping us save Sue. Or something. Like Jack, King's lackey, would turn out be a prodigy mechanic and unlock a whole bunch of weapons and customization options for Quote and the whole community of Mimigas would come together and it'd be really heartwarming, or at least they'd do SOMETHING....
But no, their story arc just kind of....stops. Well, the ones that don't just die, anyway....
