Jason is the current coach of PCA's track and field team and one of the school's gym teachers, and a rather effective one at that as the team won several contests under his supervision, both local and interregional. Admittedly, not everyone likes his training methods (usually long, hard training sessions as well as some unconventional methods that not always pop in the mind as first when you think of the word training), but no one will deny he's delivering measurable results.
Most people don't bother to ask him what did he do prior to his enrolment into the school staff. However, those who know him better are aware that in the past Jason was a promising athlete who had his 5 minutes of fame as member of the Kanto olympic team, specialising in disc and hammer throwing; not something usually associated with his species, but something he was unbeatable in, winning quite a few gold olympic medals and many awards in other sport events. Unfortunately, his prime and glory ended during one of the local tournaments when a blood test revealed an illegal booster substance in his organism. As he found out later, his isotonic water supply was tainted with doping over a course of an illegal bet on the contest results between local not-exactly-legal powerplayers. While the case was solved eventually, the investigation concluded far beyond the point where Jason's sports career could be saved and before justice was brought upon those responsible, Jason was banned from the olympic team, the news of this happening destroying virtually all other chances of participating in official sport events, seriously undermining his passion for sports in the process.
Soon after this, he moved from his hometown of Celladon to Viridian, hoping for a fresh start. For a year he was working in a downtown fitness center, until he was spotted and recognised there by the then-acting principal of PCA, Felix Felundice. The psychic quickly expressed that in the Mewtwo's opinion he won't ever regain his athlete glory, but still was waisting his talent and experience when he could help shape the future generations of sportsmon. Felundice left him with a job offer to consider, to which Gaggler responded two weeks later, assuming the post he fills up till this day.
Personality-wise, Jason is a good guy who respects and cares for others, be it his friends or students under his wings. However, very few can notice it in time, as Jason's default avatar is an somewhat annoyed, not-so-friendly looking Machoke who uses sarcasm, irony and over-emotional reactions as if they were equally natural to him as comas and full-stops in sentences. As a result, most faculty tolerates him only on professional level (with few exceptions) and he isn't exactly a student favourite, both because of his attitude and workout routines that most pupils consider life-threatening in the long run. However, he has a small group of students that openly think very high of him as training under him allowed them to score higher than they thought they were capable of.
Gaggler often acts as a hall monitor and peacemaker when students go too far in the corridors, being more than suited for the job as few students underestimate his physical prowess: while being a middle-evo species, his strength is source of some disturbing legends among the students, including one that he's capable of ramming down small trees with a dodge ball thrown from over 50 meter distance. While he never bothers to confirm or deny these gossips as they work miracles for peace in the corridors, he isn't a fan of showing off his power as he firmly believes his true strength lies in his ability to keep his body under control. If he must use brute force, he always makes sure not to go full-power, or more preferably, show what he's capable of without inflicting any damage on the troublesome students at all.

-Very few people know he has a middle name. He's not all that fond of it, so revealing it means he treats someone as a close friend.
-Students often call him Naggler, finding the title far more suitable for him than his real surname
-Ever since he settled in Viridian, he's a regular to a pub called Heart Gold, where he goes to spend his spare time at least twice a week.
-Slightly bothered by the fact he's 37 and still single, often remarking to himself he's becoming an old fart in get-wife terms. He hopes to find the right woman before turning 40.
-According to reports spread by gossip driven students, recently he's been spending a lot of time with a professional Reshiram dancer Seraphine Divano and it's not clear if it's just friendship or something more.
-Unlike most Machokes, he doesn't wear the species's trademark power-dampening belt, believing that if he can't control his strength by his own will, the belt won't help him either.
-Thinks evolving into Machamp is overrated, some say he's wearing some Everstone item under his clothes to make sure he won't get extra pair of hands.
-He's jogging everyday first thing in the morning unless its winter. Also likes to spend time in the gym on working out to maintain his shape (even if he claims he's past his prime).
-When annoyed, he likes to make his point to delinquent students by destroying expandable objects in vicinity with a single blow.
-Depending on what he initially thinks of new people he comes across he can be mildly sociable or sarcastic and rough-edged beyond some mon's resistance level.
-Likes to play the role of a village idiot when dealing with teachers that annoy him/ don't even try to see a reason in his teaching methods.
-As once proven he's strong enough to effortlessly lift most of the students into the air with one hand and knock out opponents by hitting them with objects thrown from larger distances, as long as the projectile has at least partial aerodynamic properties.
-His vehicle of choice is his 10-year old Impressa WRX car.
-Keeps the first golden medal he ever won in his Viridian apartment, with other prizes stashed away in his parents' family house back in Celadon.
