As the Apostles are comprised of various individuals from around the world, there are bound to be those who’s personalities either clash or mesh together in perfect synch. While some Apostles are located in opposite regions from one another, there are some who have the advantage of being close to another ally. Take the likes of Kamala and Dakari, who both make their home at the Trader’s Sprawl, a large desert city where (as its name suggests) trade and exchange flourishes and where many people comfortably live. Although they are teammates, what kind of relationship would a former spoiled princess turned altruistic soul seer and a cunning usurper turned former queen have? Well, how about we explore that in another character bond pic detailing the relationship between the likes of Kamala and Dakari.

How they met: Kamala and Dakari’s initial meeting was during the latter’s introduction to the Apostles, whereas the former had been with the group for some time. Though the two did not interact with each other initially, they would later cross paths when Dakari moved to the Trader’s Sprawl. It was at this point that both Kamala and Dakari would interact and soon connect due to living in the same location, where they would find out more about each other and form a strong friendship as a result.

Kamala’s side: Unlike some other Apostles, Kamala undoubtedly sees Dakari as a trusted ally. This is proven by Kamala being one of the few to willingly approach Dakari with no skepticism or doubts in her heart. For this reason, Kamala managed to connect and befriend the Nile crocodile with relative ease; forming a firm relationship with Dakari in the process. Due to her ability to see the souls of others, Kamala can see undeniable purity and benevolence within Dakari in spite of her more “questionable” actions; and thus, has very little reason to doubt her or her intentions. Kamala cares a great deal about Dakari and enjoys associating with her, both in and out of battle. This is shown as Kamala will readily socialize with Dakari should their paths cross; going as far as to spend time with her if she is able to do so. Kamala truly finds Dakari interesting due to the latter’s use of deceptive tactics and schemes for the benefit of others rather than securing any sort of power for herself. As such, Kamala expresses admiration for Dakari. However, in addition to this admiration, Kamala sometimes feels a sense of envy towards Dakari due to how she utilized the influence and power she accumulated to help those who were suffering; thinking about how her own life would have been differently had she done the same. As she is well aware of what some of the other Apostles think about Dakari, Kamala will often times defend Dakari from the scrutiny of others, despite Dakari’s insistence not do so. Kamala truly believes in Dakari’s compassion, and while she sometimes doesn’t always agree with some of her ethics; she genuinely understand whys she does what she does. Although Kamala understands a fair amount about Dakari, she desires to learn more about her and connect with her on deeper levels. However, despite the friendship she shares with her teammate, Kamala sometimes senses that there are things that Dakari is withholding from her which discourages her at times. Kamala doesn’t condemn Dakari for this though, as it only serves to increase her desire to further connect with her friend so she can understand and know all there is to know about her. Although there are some who do not trust Dakari, Kamala truly believes in Dakari and hopes to help others see the truth and compassion that she sees within her.

Dakari’s Side: Dakari shows a particular fondness for Kamala and displays a deep enjoyment for her presence. Initially, Dakari believed Kamala to be similar to everyone else, in that she did not trust her; but later discovered that the feline knew about her sorted past and still expressed belief in her actions and motivations, something that touched Dakari’s heart. Dakari is very friendly and civil with Kamala, more so than with many of the other Apostles; proven by her lack of veiled rudeness when talking to Kamala and due to the fact that she will WILLINGLY spend time with the feline as opposed to various others who she will lie to in order to avoid socializing with them. Dakari truly appreciates the fact that Kamala trusts her, and tries her best not to betray this trust. Further adding to Dakari’s appreciation of Kamala is the knowledge she has of the former princess’ past. Dakari truly appreciates and respects Kamala’s drive to redeem herself for her past actions and using her new spiritual power in order to do so, as opposed to abusing it to do whatever she pleases like some of the other people she has witnessed. While Dakari truly considers Kamala as a friend as opposed to a mere ally like many of the other Apostles; she sometimes expresses annoyance due to Kamala’s insistence on convincing others about her good intentions. The reason for this as due to it removing the ambiguity of her actions; thus, making it harder for her to deceive others should the need arise. Its because of this that Dakari withholds certain information from Kamala, in spite of the trust she has for the princess. Despite Kamala’s interference and detriment to her shadier tactics, Dakari undoubtedly cares for her friend and will do what she needs for her whenever the moment comes. Dakari sometimes believes that Kamala can be a bit naïve to certain things and tries her best to educate her due to knowing so much about unsavory and underhanded tactics. As such, Dakari expresses a willingness to help Kamala understand more about the world by explaining some of the many evils that may be unknown to her; wanting her to fully realize that there are some who would readily take advantage of her regardless of how good her intentions are. While Dakari knows her deceptive nature may make others weary of her, she expresses happiness that Kamala is one of the few people who managed to reach past that boundary and befriend her; with no truth being greater than how much she cares about the former princess.
