More practice! The artworks referenced are by Archer (top) and CaptainCronus (bottom).

I did the bottom drawing first, and I was mainly interested with the lighting on the reference art. I tweaked some brush and layer settings until I got the effect that I wanted, but I still feel that it can be fine-tuned a little more.

For the top drawing, I played a little more fast and loose with how I constructed the shapes making up the head and the suit, and I think I cut down on the sketching/inking time by a good bit now that I'm getting more comfortable. Across all the art that I've picked to study, what I'm picking up on is the different angles and profiles that Creo's head is drawn in! They're a big help in making me think more three-dimensionally.

I may do one more round of drawings down the line and share that here too. For now though, I'll gradually practice more and more :3
