Deep within her own aches and thoughts, the wizard raised her head, ears adjusting to the sudden source behind her.
"Oh...sorry, I-"

Elain smiled, her eyes focusing on the lazy river churning ahead of her. Despite three days of walking, the ruins abounding did not match their destination in the slightest: never old enough, never foreboding enough.
"Got fresh supplies," the kobold hefted the basket filled with dozens of odds and ends: berries, mushrooms, and roots. "So we're fit for another day or two of snacking."
The wizard gave a flustered nod, earning a curious lash of lizard tail.
"Not too thrilled to get back to the trail?"
"...feet hurt."
"Hmph," Rangy watched the grass around them, seeing nothing save a hopping hopper or buzzing bee, "well I suppose we can rest for a bit longer."
