Super sucuclant sizzling steak from the kitchens of
SGRedAlert
I made my first steak marinade!
It included:
Weber brand New Orleans Cajun
parsley
Lemon Pepper (quite a bit of this)
Mrs. Dash Table Blend
Basil
Oregano
Salt
A1 New York Style Marinade Sauce (I used almost the entire bottle)
Cinnamon
Soy Sauce
Worcestershire Sauce
The amounts I used were totally random. I just wrote down spices from the internet that taste good with steak, smelled all the ones we had, took a bowl out and just started adding shit and this is what I came up with. I used it on two huge slabs of steak that fed 5 people with a little left over.
Cooking directions are as follows:
Marinade Steak for 24 hours.
Take steak out and place on tin-foil covered baking sheet (cookie sheets work) and cover in the sauce left from the bag very well (I used a big freezer/storage ziplock bag and all of the sauce that was in the bag XP I slathered it thickly with it) and place in oven on 400 (we have a gas oven if that matters), until almost done, without basting or turning. When almost medium/medium rare, place in broiler until done (the last 5 minutes or so in the broiler gives the outside a gorgeous crisp without burning anything)
Serve with choice of side dishes! (My mother forgot a salad for me, so the rest of my family had salad and I had a heaping pile of yummy peas =3)
Yes the photo was taken on my floor, I was sitting on the floor with my pet rat in my lap, sewing toast.
