Be a brave girl, Zahara, you'll see her again soon.

Zahara's relation to Rachel hasn't really changed much despite all the alterations I've done to it. She's still dependent on someone who isn't real, though not as much as she used to be. But when there's dark skies and bleak moods, Zahara goes to the ocean and, just for a few moments, can feel like Rachel exists and it makes the emotions spill out, where everything just feels okay.

The use of the ocean isn't really due to any personal affinity I have with it, it's pretty much entirely down to the Nine Inch Nails song "La Mer" because while I'm not a big fan of The Fragile as a double album, I don't think there's any album that captures all the emotions I've given to Zahara. It's ugly, angry, miserable, remorseful and at times, fucking beautiful. Stupid song makes me feel things.
