ALL teh HHG... well most of it anyway. :P
Oh believe me, I have lots of reference to work with, but these are the cream of the crop.
The really HUGE one in the middle-ish was a total mistake but I did recover from it. xD I just forgor to rescale the entire canvas when I finished my work and when I imported all of my own sprites into a separate scene, I wondered WHY ARE MY SPRITES SO SMALL COMPARED TO THE REST OF THE SCENE ?!?!
And as for the enlarged background and bottom most scene that was properly scaled to match correct scaled sprites, well it has its own quirks such as custom placed platforms which are anything BUT canon, but I did all of that to easily recognize my own handy work and besides... I have plans to butcher HHG further for my own needs so what's a few errant floating rocks here and there. xDD
If this sort of thing was canon for pre big bang maple, a lot of beginner archers could easily make use of them and shoot monsters and be out of reach for counter attacks! HELL I wish this WAS a thing for reals!!! You have any idea how hard it was for first tier archers whom just made Level-10 to get the job? You didn't have upgraded attacks like Double Shot, only Arrow Blow, and you'd get Double Shot around Level-11 if you did things right and with only Arrow Blow [Power Shot] your messily little arrows did very little to most of the monsters you hunted... at least arrows were cheap and you could have Vicious the NPC craft more for you for free if you had feathers and some sticks from monster-drops... but the initial grind was kinda sloooooowwww AF... :P
Oh yes.... Did I mention that of all the character classes in classic Maple, that archers were crippled with horrible damage RNG early on? Yeah that whole thing about Arrow Blow helping was somewhat of a help. Your vanilla attack with a single shot was why the initial grind was sloooooooooooooooooooooow... :P
Anyway once you past Level-15 things barely started to get better... hence having extra platforms to stand on, out of reach of early tier melee damage monsters would have been a god sent gift !!
And yes yes yes yes yes I get it... Early jobbers, especially archers should all be shooting up very low tier monsters, like all the snails on the ground floor, and the slimes on floor 2 because it's all about efficient kills or One Shot Kills. Anything you could one shot was what you were expected to grind on, even if Two Shot kills got you faster EXP per kill. With this respects and how cheap an archer's vanilla attack was, that and with NPC Vicious able to make free arrows for you is probably why Nexon nerfed Archers with such horrible random number generator damage in early game.... fuk... And yes, the RNG was in itself nerfed as the player progresses, with around 3rd job being the point at which RNG range between minimal and maximal damage being negligible but fuk mi.... RNG sucked early on...
This kind of schisses is why modern Maple isn't anything like old shcool... Modern players have it easy with much better tuned skill sets and far FAR less RNG damage spread even for newbie jobbers fresh out of their chosen master's school! Archers aren't as crippled with RNG and IF ONLY I had such EARLY access to Arrow Bomb [exploding arrows] I'd be going nuts all over classic HHG !! xD
Well that IS if HHG was still in modern maple... *sigh*
Anyway I hope.... HOPE that MapleLand comes to GMS! I'd dare to even pay up some real US cabbage for Nx to recreate PenPen my penguin pet to suck up all the drops and meso I'd get from killing stoofs in HHG... fukking HHGEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! HHG as far as I can tell IS in KMS so here's hoping GMS get it in MapleLand !!!!!
