Haha, I thank Onta. I bought his brushes and found one I really liked for shading. I've always liked my soft shading, but this one feels more complete.

Like I said in the description, it wasn't a contest. The reason I wanted people to write why someone deserved something was to make them think about it rather then grab for free art. I picked the character I wanted to draw. So everyone got equal chance when it comes to why they should get the art.

Oh wow, major art shift. I reeeaaaally love this coloring style. So soft. <3 Your cel-ish shading is good too, but this really accentuates the cuteness. :3 And she's quite gorgeous, too.

Thanks c: I really don't think my art changed that much, but the shading makes it look crazy different.

I love both cell and soft, but you need to chose when it's best to use (except for commissions of course). More simple or cute pictures, like cubs, works best with cell, but soft works for detailed and give a more realistic feel to it then cartoon.

I'm kinda forced to do flat coloring and cel-shading myself since I can only work with Paint decently at the moment, but I kinda wanna learn the tricks of soft coloring cause a lot of my work focuses on being derpy and cutesy. :v

But seriously, this coloring style really works for you. <3 I'd love to see how you draw Neko with it since I've mostly only seen you do her in cell before. :D

Ugh same here really. I love my soft shading here, but I usually do struggle with it. Cell as well, but it's a lot easier.

Hehe, I usually do her in cell cause it's the fastest and I don't feel like working as much when it's for a commission. I may need to then, maybe this weekend.

Cell is so simple, especially when you don't focus on every fold of clothing or skin. c: Mine's just a line and a bucket fill, too.

Whoops, ya, not. I used to put more effort in stuff for myself and still do, but a lot of times I just do it for fun, so not minding mistakes, while commissions are worked hard on.

I put more detail on mine personally, but it can go either way really.

Yeah, it makes sense, I kinda do the same myself. c: Sometimes though, I try working with poses, dynamics and the general appearance of a picture, and I often use shading on those as well since it's all practice, even if it's personally and not for other people. :U

Yup! Ish anyways. I tend to use similar techniques all the time, but different brushes.

This piece right here is true proof of the above statement...everything in this is done so well; your style is just so adorable.
