❖ The true dragon is created. Devouring its own tail, it sheds its hard scales and becomes green gold

❖ And now, the revelation of the symbolism in the series! The dragons are characters-units from the old game Heroes of Might & Magic 2, which I have warm nostalgic feelings for. It was my favorite game for a long time in my childhood (of course, until the third part came out, haha).
I've long wanted to create something similar to old magical manuscripts, and while browsing the internet, I came across an interesting alchemical experiment. In it, lead oxide, represented by the green lion, is heated to the state of minium — a red lion. Then, it is further processed to become finely crushed lead, a black lion. If desired, it can be converted back into the green lion, completing the cycle to its original state.
In the world of Heroes of Might & Magic 2, dragons go through exactly the same path, from green to red, from red to black, as you build their lair. That's why I gave all the dragons the alchemical symbolism of lions, finally drawing illustrations with ciphers, symbolism, and all that, which I've wanted to try for a very long time.

❖ I started this series in 2023, but managed to finish only the green and red dragons. This summer, having overcome my problems, I finally finish the rest of the dragons, hooray!
