Ever wanted to go spelunking in a giant ear? That's what happened to these hikers, whether they realized it or not. When a new cave appears on the trail, might as well explore it (and not question how it appeared there... seemingly overnight. I'm sure it's normal).
-siiiiighs- It was only a matter of time I ruined the sanctity of nature with my ear nonsense. The smaller panel was really fun and cute though. Makes me wanna doodle more macro stuff just in general.

Yeah, the little trickles and ebbs and flows of the river winding through the ears give off a tickly sensation! Probably felt so good, it's what caused him to fall asleep. I've had the idea in mind for a while (slightly submerged macro ears) because of how relaxing I find it to listen to rivers/waterfalls on a hike. : )
Wonder what happened to the Macro Mac here?
Did they like stumble, while at large in nature, or are they napping?
You'd think their ears would be a bit cleaner, given all the water running through it, too.

The river is probably a natural cleanser! A lot of that wax probably drifted out from much deeper in, so in essence, he’s basically in the process of getting them cleaned out. He just didn’t expect a group of hikers to come along and stumble inside… bad luck there, managing to land his ear right by that trail marker. Now while the wax is clearing out, he’s got some surprise guests going in. Eventually, surely, they’ll realize the path they’re taking is a dead end and turn back? Hopefully before he wakes up…
