TRANSCRIPT:
Deep in the woods lies an abandoned human dwelling...
Inside is a super-weapon, capable of destroying us all!
FRITZ: ...I think that's what this is.
BENNY: Don't be silly, that's not a doomsday device! It's too small!
BENNY: Look! There's a water spout right next to it, these places have that smelly sulfur water for... what's it called?
BENNY: Look, it just cleans things!
FRITZ: That thing has heat knobs! What else could it do?
So this is my first comic featuring both of my OCs together, interacting. Basically, Fritz and Benny have found a trailer in a very rural area, and Fritz sees something big and spooky looking. Benny doesn't think so, and believes it's some kind of washing machine...
It's an oven... in case you couldn't tell.
It's not really that funny, just experimenting with showing off their personality. The second panel is shit: it's basically a filler drawing made purely to build up the oven as some terrifying doomsday device with unfitting green lighting, and I messed up the way the flat top looks. It do like how the characters' expressions turned out. The only truly good background is the first panel (and it still folded the paper when I tried to erase the pencil outline). I deliberately used a curved and distorted perspective for the two middle-left panels to make drawing the backgrounds a bit easier. I TRIED to not make the blue-background panels look totally empty by attempting to draw a vaguely-outlined table in the fourth panel... just the outline for "stylistic" purposes.
These were colored in with markers. The lettering I actually mostly did with stencils, mainly so I could keep the text as clean as possible (my own handwriting tends to start out neat but end up sloppily, especially without lined paper. I made some digital edits to whiten part of the images (except for "Captain Spiffari's" which was drawn on paper and pasted in.
