Facial Pressure Building - David’s First Change
Here’s a painting of David Kessler as his muzzle begins to push out, and the last of his humanity washes away into feral hunger & rage, that I painted last summer. While my sketching style is kinda-cartoony, I’ve always preferred realistic painting, so this was my first attempt at creating a life-like looking werewolf in Procreate. I am *so* proud of this work! It was my first painting being a little more “abstract” with shape forming, especially with fur as when I sketch, I tend to do each hair individually.
An American Werewolf in London is one of my favorite films of all time, *the* best werewolf film (in my opinion), and like a lot of you, I’m sure, the movie that *quite literally* awoke my sexuality. I will never forget watching it for the first time at 13-years-old - It was the first time I’d ever seen a man naked, and listening to his screams, and grunts, and groans, as he transformed into a massive hairy beast shocked my body into arousal for the first time. It is also where my obsession with super hirsute men, back hair, male monster transformations, etc. began. Truly a life-changing moment in my life.
So, this was a little love letter my two first loves: David Naughton, and the Kessler Wolf. I am as obsessed today, as I was 20 years ago. Please, enjoy this labor of love!
