That's perfectly normal for Skaven.

is the human place they're talking about directly above them? If so, do they realize that if/when said place collapses down, it'll fall onto them? Essentially being a mutual destruction.
Also, I'm kind of in love with the beefy rat in the last panel with the white mohawk and little white chest hair puff.

Skaven are pretty much cartoonishly prone to death and betrayal. If they have to sacrifice a few (hundred) thousand of their people in order to secure victory over the enemy, then so be it.

As for replenishing their ranks, if you've ever played Dragon Age, you should have a basic idea of what a Skaven Broodmother is like.

Ngl, I know nothing of Skaven or Dragon Age. Sorry. ^.^'

Well, to simplify it, Skaven view their females as good for one thing, and one thing only.

BREEDING STOCK

From the very moment they are born, the female Skaven are gathered up and subjected to both chemical and surgical modifications, designed to mutate their bodies into something that is functionally useless for anything other than pumping out thousands and thousands of babies.

That's why we haven't seen any female Skaven in the comic so far.

Yep, it's directly above. But the human city shouldn't fall directly on their warren, just sink enough to make it easier to invade.
Or so is their plan. And Skaven plans never go wrong after all.
