It didn't go as planned in the manga go though right? Didn't either Akane or Ranma think it was gross to kiss? I might be remembering it wrong. It always seemed RT would tease with scenes that were borderline romantic but something would somehow mess it up like Shampoo's jealousy or someone elses Jealousy or Kuno's misplaced passion or Ranma's stubbornness and immaturity.
