I had been working on a commission for  relaxingdragon1 and in the piece he asked me to draw a relaxing dragon (natch). I started thinking for a moment of the most relaxed personality I know of and then it hit me, -the Dude, from the Big Lebowski! So I sketched out just such a dragon which was met with amusement, but an acknowledgement that it was perhaps TOO much "the Dude" and could be scaled back to a relaxed character that wasn't so specific.

The upside was that he liked the drawing enough that he'd asked to get a proper commission done of the Dragon Dude. I added a quick digital color gradient in the background after the fact.
