When I first saw this pic on LJ I thought: "Nice. Spottacus had Kaiya Softpaw over for coffee. I didn't know they knew each other." Then I read in the entry that it was actually your suit, and felt very confused afterwards. I'm relieved to hear that I wasn't imagining things.

Honestly, that is one of my favourite fursuits of all time. Congratulations on such a great find!! I'd love to hug Fawxen if I see her at AC. :)

I agree... this is a great suit, and I am honored to fill it. Good thing Kaiya and I are nearly the same size, as the suit is closely tailored.

ive always kinda wondered that when i see photos of suiters at a cafe/restaurant/pizza place etc - what do you do exactly? do you just pose for photos and stuff then sit around patiently while everyone else eats/drinks or what?
either way, cool pickup on that suit. hope you have fun with the crossplay

Depends on how the suit is made. I ask for straws, and then sip through them. Some of the heads I haz are very close fitting, so that I can sip even without straws. When sipping is not possible, or when I am eating solid food lunch, I'll "ruin the magic" and take the head off.

I suit for lifestyle reasons, rather than as an entertainer, so I am not afraid to go headless for a bit when required for food, or driving. But my preference is to wear my fur out a lot, and make it work.

hah fair enough then. i didnt even really consider just taking off the head and handpaws as a viable option really, but i guess the whole "ruining the magic" thing isnt so much of a big deal to everyone - i suppose the "suiting for entertainment" purists have a louder voice out there.
either way i'd feel pretty vunerable just "being" in suit (not trying to perform, just minding your own business while appearing more than a bit odd to the casual observer) so all the power to ya :3

Don't forget, this is the silicon valley. Geeks rule, and "out of the ordinary" is more common here. I talked to someone who walked in fullsuit down the streets on Manhattan, and no one noticed. At least, I had lots of peeps asking me about it and showing interest.
