Andrew had a tattoo from his very first inception, but I didn't really have a particular design in mind. It varies a bit through his older art, appearing as a few different Celtic knots and a variety of generic squiggles. When he got his glow up... Well, the tattoo had to get one too, didn't it? It did leave me with an awkward period where I was only commissioning art from angles that hid his right shoulder, but fortunately that time has passed and now we all get to enjoy him from a variety of perspectives.
I imagine that this design is probably based on an old family crest that appears around the house and estate of Inverchoire, simplified and adapted into a striking tattoo.
From time to time you may also see a version of this symbol without the borderwork, just the stag head and triquetra, in some other places and on some other people. Like featuring in art commissioned by my friends, for example.
Consider that variant his way of marking his property.
