So I am all about alternate timelines. It is truly dark for Ethan to be born in this world he is in.
1. His Grandfather is a coward and didn't fight the Grand Dragon seeking magical items to slay it. This caused a lot of demi-humans and humans to die and allowed the High Emperor to gain more power after slaying it.
2. His mother is still a Kitsune but his father followed humanity's belief that they deserve the world and all demi-humans should be subject to them. When she was found out to be a Kitsune she was turned in and never seen again.
3. Ethan didn't shift to his form until later in age around 12 and many other children shifted as well around the same time, All human children like Ethan were sold into slavery by their parents. Ethan being a lower noble was trained in the sword and became a warrior slave.
4. Most Demi-humans went to war with the High Emporer and Ethan had to fight in 3 wars to obtain his freedom and freedom for his Wife Eilwynn he fought with in the war as slaves. He became friends with many slaves of demi-humans and many managed to escape. Ethan worked for the freedom of Eilwynn and himself.
5. The worst of it all When Ethan was free with his wife some humans went hunting for them to enslave them again and his wife requested him to kill her so she wouldn't be taken from him and used by the humans.... He later found out she was pregnant and this is where his mind finally broke.
6. After he was enslaved again he was forced to slay dragons and fight in 3 more wars, and he finally after killing some of his escape friends met his end with one of them which offered him eternal rest.

And this is when he would be Isekaied into another world. A War-torn "War Beast" in a more peaceful world might be able to stop humans in this new world from becoming like his. This is another story I want to work on, and hope you all enjoy this lil story of Dark Timeline Ethan.
