As I lay me down to sleep
I feel into my soul the Darkness creep
I slinks in and settles deep

I took the apple before I slept
Into my soul the darkness crept
With Withering Vines, full and robust
It filled my mind with heavenly lust

The vines encircled and entangled
Until my soul they had firmly wrangled
From Empyrium I fall
Into Pandamonium I call

“Where is what you promised me?”
All around burns the Fiery Sea

“What do you wish for?” the serpent replied.
I answer back, “I wish not to have died.”

And now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the lord my soul to sneak
And forever from the Darkness keep
Well… until I desire another peek.



Written to express my constant and consistant battle with religious issues conflicting with things that I think are more plausible but less... desireable.

Oh well, so much for sleeping well for a week or so.

Comments? Suggestions? I ment to fracture the stanzas just so everyone knows.
