Given the fact there’s now more characters that’ll be featured in Azazel’s story, that means they’ll all be getting their own references. However, before I even get to them, it felt the most important to redo Azazel’s ref first since his old one needed a serious revamp. There’s really only two changes to his overall design since I’m still really happy with how he looks after his last reference.

The first was just adding a little additional color to his front and tail, purely due to the fact there was a lot of empty space and it really needed something to tie it together. The other change, though, was to his wings. Originally, they were far bigger and looked the same as every other pair of wings I had drawn. Which, isn’t what I wanted. Angels have wings based on real birds and come in different shapes and sizes. Azazel’s are meant to be ravens wings, but in his first ref, the only thing that portrayed that was the color. But, after some studying of how a real raven’s wings look, I’m much more proud of the outcome.
