A rare SFW picture lmao.
The outfit Cindesh wore to the ToA's closing event, the Wonderlight Ball, featuring four new friends who spent a million (real in-game) gold on her at the date auction.
From left to right: Maki, Kuti, Cindesh, Kip, and Tycho. And yes, they're JoJo posed.

Maybe I don't get RP... What stops someone from just.. showing up?
My background in WoW is a BDK one trick in m+ and a lower end hall of fame raider. (Thrayndk) So while I'm accustomed to people spending millions of gold for my services, I don't quite understand this one. Would you please explaininate? Can be over notes if you want.

It was part of a date auction where folks will put themselves up for auction to RP at the ball that happens at the end of the event (Wonderlight Ball). Half of the amount paid goes towards the event itself for future prizes and such, while the other half goes to the player owo
TO BE FAIR, Cindesh is the first person I think I've see go up to 1million?? The bids usually start at 1k and the average tends to be around 30k, from my experience

Didn't get notified for this, my bad.
ToA is organized by a group that does this every year, and they hold the gold until the "date" is concluded and they have proof all parties showed up to fulfill it. If the auctionee doesn't show up, the gold is refunded to the bidder.
WoW RP is a different, more casual game than regular WoW, and far more enjoyable IMO. So 1 million isn't necessarily pocket change to those that don't minmax and farm during their time in-game.
