I think I'm having a crisis when it comes to many aspects of my art style. I'm definitely inspired by lots and lots of absolutely amazing artists on FA, but I struggle quite a bit with being appreciative of my own art. Sometimes I have days when I see all the great artwork on the internet, and think to myself "Ah! One day I will be able to do something like that as well!", and then I have days when I look at same exact artwork and think all the bad and toxic things towards myself regarding self criticism. Today I had one of those "not great" days.
Today I tried to let any of those thoughts go and relax for a bit. I didn't want to create anything big or spend hours on creating a piece, I just felt like doing what I felt like doing even if it meant not finishing a piece that I potentially could do some interesting light work with, or something I could be proud of for many days. Sometimes I just want to feel proud of the smallest pieces, where there's not much shadows, not much background, nothing extraordinary, or nothing that requires me sitting down for hours before I finish it. Today I tried to have one of those days of appreciating such pieces. I appreciate this one, because I love winter, and I think snow is one of the thigs that could cheer me up quite a bit! Where I live, it snows quite a lot in winter, so just a few months left before I could experience that joy again!

I really wish you would give yourself more credit! There is just something special about your art style. It's adorable, cute, sweet, and has this certain quality to it that makes it feel more unique. I think it might be the colors you choose. They feel a bit more pastel-y, which really looks nice! For whatever it's worth, I fell in love with your style the moment I saw it, as you know. :D I know we, as artists, are our own worst critics, but I hope you can give yourself a bit more self-love and appreciation for the work that you do. You deserve it.
Also, snow is amazing, especially when you don't have to shovel it. :P It makes everything look clean. It makes everything sound muted and calm. I miss being around it during winters. Living on the west coast of the US and in major cities usually means you don't see snow too often, even here in Seattle. At least we have the mountains to the east. I booked an AirBnB out there last year during Christmas just to see the snow again. It really helped me get into the holiday mood.
