Description: I created Stal for use in roleplays with friends and as a supporting character in the story of one of Ine's ancestors.

Stal was once a blacksmith living in 7th century England, which is the same time period in which Ine's ancestors, Sir Skyve Swiftscales and the Lady Phoenix, lived. While Stal never formally enlisted in the army, he helped produce weapons and armor in defense against the invading Northmen. However, during an important battle, Stal saw the Northmen cutting off a bridge that would allow reinforcements to reach the army of Captain Clawhammer. Not wanting the captain to fall, Stal charged through the ranks of the Northmen in order to reach Captain Clawhammer and alert him. His warning allowed the army to clear the bridge and ultimately win the battle. However, Stal was gravely wounded while running to raise the alarm. In the normal timeline of events, Stal succumbs to his wounds and perishes. However, Kyzz the planeshifter brought Ine and Jacob to the same time period, where they not only befriended Stal, but saved his life and helped him heal from his wounds after the battle, after which Captain Clawhammer dubbed him Stal the Stalwart. Following these events, Kyzz appeared to the group and explained that Stal was now "untethered" from his original timeline, and free to travel with Ine and Jacob to their own time, which he did.

Stal is normally shy and soft-spoken. However, he's fiercely loyal to his friends and will go to great lengths to defend them, even at great personal risk. He's also been known to succumb to bouts of rage against those who try to harm his friends. Ordinarily though, he's kind-hearted and gentle. He still loves blacksmithing, though he swore he would never make weapons again, and instead uses his skills to create things that are useful or beautiful from metal or glass. He also loves to work out with Jacob, though he's too bashful to go to the gym by himself. He feels a drive to become stronger in order to better help and protect his friends, and also feels a boost of self-confidence from increasing his physical size and strength.

In another roleplay, Stal discovered that he has some mountain lion in his ancestry. While it doesn't show in his physical appearance, he found he has the ability to roar like one when the situation calls for it.
