Midford Tunnel, Oct 2023.
*Interesting Fact: In the UK the Department for Transport (DfT) still have a duty to examine various unused railway tunnels and bridges. this is mainly for bridges where a road passes over them. A few years ago there was a big campaign to fill in as many bridges as possible to save time and money. However locals and councils (Even Preserved Railways with future extensions) petitioned this and the scheme was shelved, though one or two bridges had been filled in at this point and had to be unfilled!*
